Light, agile and designed for precision, the upgraded STIHL MS 201 C-M is fitted with the new version of the economic 2-MIX engine, making it ideal for harvesting thin wood, limbing and tending young stands. The new 2-MIX engine consists of a new cylinder, piston and exhaust as well as an upgrade the M-Tronic system – M-Tronic 3.0. With its compact construction, reduced emissions, efficient engine management system, extremely low weight and fantastic manoeuvrability, it is great to handle while offering impressively high lugging power despite its low weight. Designed for use in agriculture, forestry, gardening and landscaping operations, this light pro saw provides a high cutting and plunging performance.

For a cold start, the STIHL M-Tronic only needs one start position on the combi-lever. After starting, you can immediately power up to full speed. The amount of fuel required is precisely calculated by the system and supplied as needed. Otherwise, start in position I as usual.

CONTROLLED-DELIVERY OIL PUMP

OIL CONSUMPTION BASED ON NEED. The controlled-delivery oil pump reduces your chainsaw’s oil consumption by up to 50%. To use it, simply select the E position. For very long cutting attachments or very dry wood, an additional oil volume can be set by the user.

STIHL ELASTOSTART

STIHL ElastoStart reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine
during starting. The compression shock is taken away from the user's joints and
muscles through a spring or rubber element in the starter handle.

Compensator

The STIHL compensator, a control system in the carburettor, ensures
that despite increasing pollution of the air filter engine performance, exhaust
quality and fuel consumption over a long period remain almost constant.
Only when a noticeable performance degradation occurs,
the air filter must be cleaned. So, very long working
intervals without maintenance are possible. (Similar to picture)

Combi lever

As M-Tronic has electronic cold and warm start recognition, only one start position is needed on the combi lever. The exact amount of fuel is supplied on demand. You do not need to know about the status of your chainsaw and can apply full throttle straight away - even with a cold start. Because the saw is warmed up by optimum acceleration in a few seconds.

The Ematic chain lubrication system ensures pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain
links and guide bar rails. When used with STIHL OILOMATIC saw chain, it will provide maximum lubrication, longer wear and less oil consumption than conventional methods of chain lubrication. The Ematic system can reduce bar oil consumption by up to 50%

SIDE-MOUNTED CHAIN TENSIONING
